As Maersk FPSOs is one of the world’s leading companies in our business we are committed to be at the forefront of environmental developments and performance in our industry.
We consider an excellent environmental performance as part of the quality of our operations, which both our clients and we benefit from in terms of safety, efficiency and high integrity.
We have worked with environmental concerns for decades and expect to complete our ISO 14001 certification for all organisational units within Maersk FPSOs in 2009.
All our operations are in compliance with local and international rules and regulations and special demands from our clients. Furthermore we always strive to set our environmental standards higher than required.
In Maersk FPSOs we have made environmental improvements a part of our overall strategy. Our goal is to be the best environmentally performing drilling and production contractor worldwide, and still offer efficient and competitive operations.
To live up to our strategy we run a comprehensive environmental performance programme covering atmospheric emissions, discharges to the marine environment, waste management and recycling, chemical management and substitution of undesirable chemical products, training of personnel, and formalised monitoring of environmental incidents to initiate necessary prevention. The programme will form a baseline for our plans to reduce emissions and reduce the total impact on the environment as a result of our activities.
