Safety in Maersk FPSOs is a value. It is not a priority you can change, but a permanent mindset. We promote and enforce a behaviour-based safety culture and an environment where responsibility is an integrated aspect of every routine. A notable result is that our accident frequency rate (so-called Lost Time Injuries or LTIs) has been well below the industry average every year for the last ten years.

We operate with a “zero LTI” goal. We achieved this goal in 2009, when there was not a single accident reported that resulted in work absence among our 600-strong workforce, a record we are very proud of.  In 2010, we completed Maersk FPSO’s most ambitious project to date – the Maersk Peregrino – recording only two LTIs in more than 15 million man-hours spent on the project.

At Maersk FPSOs, we are committed to protecting our own employees, as well as contracted and third party personnel working under our direction, from coming to any harm in the workplace. We focus on safeguarding our personnel, assets and operations.
